This course aims to introduce the fundamental concepts and applications of psychological testing, focusing mainly on commonly used self-report scales in daily life. Students will acquire foundational knowledge in scale construction, including reliability, validity, item design, and evaluation methods. Through case analysis and activities, students will develop the ability to critically understand and interpret various questionnaires, thereby gaining skills in critical interpretation and basic data analysis.

This course centers on the ISO 14067 standard for product carbon footprint, integrating theoretical instruction with hands-on practice. It systematically introduces key concepts such as carbon footprint definition, inventory procedures, data collection, and emission factor selection. Through practical exercises, students will learn to calculate greenhouse gas emissions across different stages of a product's life cycle. The course covers international trends in carbon footprint standards, basic principles of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), practical report writing, and relevant policies and industry applications. The hands-on component guides students in using carbon footprint assessment tools and spreadsheet software to conduct comprehensive emission inventories for designated products, culminating in the preparation of formal reports and peer feedback sessions. Additionally, the course includes certification preparation to support students pursuing professional credentials in carbon management, LCA, or environmental sustainability, thereby enhancing their practical skills and competitiveness in the field of carbon accounting and net-zero transition.

The aims to equip participants with a comprehensive understanding of greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory principles, technical methodologies, and international standards, enhancing their practical application skills in alignment with global net-zero emissions and ESG sustainability trends. The course will begin with an introduction to the ISO 14064-1:2018 standard, covering the framework for organizational-level GHG inventories, scope classification, and the establishment of organizational and operational boundaries. Participants will learn how to identify and calculate emissions from Scope 1 (direct emissions), Scope 2 (indirect energy emissions), and Scope 3 (other indirect emissions). Additionally, the course will cover data collection and inventory methodologies, including activity data acquisition, selection of emission factors, application of global warming potential (GWP), and the use of GHG inventory tools such as GHG Protocol and IPCC Guidelines for emissions calculation and data verification. Through case studies and hands-on exercises, participants will learn how to prepare GHG inventory reports in compliance with ISO 14064-1 and understand key aspects of internal auditing and third-party verification processes. This course aims to help students understand the applications of artificial intelligence (AI) in industries and master the core concepts and strategies of low-carbon transition to address global industrial transformation and sustainable development needs. The course covers the fundamentals of AI technology, smart manufacturing applications, low-carbon transition strategies, carbon management techniques, and corporate ESG development trends. By integrating theoretical instruction with practical exercises, students will gain an in-depth understanding of how AI technology can be utilized to enhance manufacturing efficiency, reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions, and achieve green production goals. First, the course will introduce the basic concepts and applications of AI technology, covering machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, big data analytics, predictive maintenance, and the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), and how these technologies improve the flexibility and efficiency of smart manufacturing. Additionally, the course will analyze AI’s critical role in production scheduling, quality inspection, automation control, and smart supply chain management. Next, the course will focus on low-carbon transition and carbon management strategies, explaining carbon footprint calculation, carbon inventory techniques, carbon asset management, carbon trading mechanisms, and international standards such as ISO 14064 and the GHG Protocol. Homegarden, as a form of agroforestry, encompasses multi-layered and diverse cultivation of crops. Homegarden constructed in this manner contributes to the maintenance of biodiversity and seed conservation. Simultaneously, they facilitate self-sufficiency for community residents, empowering them with food sovereignty, and fostering a connection between local culture and daily necessities. Therefore, this course adopts a balanced approach of theoretical knowledge and practical application to enhance students' understanding of the significance of home farming in local communities. Students actively engage in the cultivation of Homegarden and the design of food and agricultural educational experiences.
